Drawn from experience in pilot schools in Bristol, the Learning Centre is organised around a process model of 7 steps. Start anywhere!

An acclaimed collection of ideas and resources on the broad theme of education and values, the focus is on whole school approaches to citizenship education, and spiritual, moral, social and cultural education.

The Learning Centre is for school leaders and advisors. The ideas have been developed over a period of 4-5 years in a collaborative project between the Graduate School of Education, Bristol and several schools in Bristol.

EACH STEP CONTAINS:

• a summary of the key ideas


• an interactive 'how to' section, which aims to help you engage with the ideas


• resources to download to help you in the process


• and suggestions for further reflection.

Develop your own whole-school approach to values in education. We will introduce you to practical ways of promoting SMSC [?jargon] across the whole curriculum and implement the citizenship curriculum.

You can enter the process at any point, but many schools find it helpful to start with their vision and values.
